Spoken like a Tragedian! Shakespeare, Demidov Technique, and YOU!

During this workshop, actors will be introduced to Nikolai Demidov and the Culture of Creative Freedom: the very core of the Demidov Organic Acting Technique. We will transfer our newfound Demidov techniques into heightened Shakespearean text focusing on; character inception, the art of inexact creative repetition, creative passivity(surrender), and perception (truly hearing and seeing on stage). Actors and theatre lovers of all kinds are invited and welcome! Please be prepared with a classic monologue!

Garrick Sigl is a recent MFA graduate of the Asolo Repertory Theatre Conservatory for Actor Training in Sarasota Florida. While there, he trained in Demidov Technique and classical theatre. Garrick has been working and training as a teaching artist for almost a decade and is so excited to bring these new acting methods to the Santa Fe community.
